Terms of Use

Effective date: 30 September 2026 · Applies to the Find My Solana Android app (package com.findmysolana).

In short

Find My Solana is a free tool that makes your phone ring when you say “Solana”. It works well in most situations, but it can't be guaranteed to hear you every time, so don't rely on it for emergencies or safety. Use it considerately, and at your own risk.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Find My Solana (“the app”), you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What the app does

When listening is turned on, the app uses your phone's microphone to recognise the word “Solana” on your device and then alerts you with sound, vibration, flash, a voice message and a full-screen alert, so you can find your phone nearby. The app works offline and does not collect personal data. See the Privacy Policy for details.

3. Licence

You are granted a personal, free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, sell, redistribute or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it or where an open-source licence of an included component permits it.

4. No guarantee of detection

Wake-word recognition is not perfect. The app may not detect “Solana” (because of distance, noise, accent, a covered microphone, low battery or other reasons), and it may occasionally ring by mistake when it hears similar words. Android and your phone's manufacturer can also stop or limit the app, for example after a restart, when another app uses the microphone, with battery-saving features, or when Do Not Disturb blocks alarms. The app is not an emergency, safety, medical, security or anti-theft service, and must not be relied on as one.

5. Your responsibilities

6. Third-party names and services

Find My Solana is an independent app and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by the Solana Foundation or Solana Mobile. “Solana” and related names are trademarks of their respective owners. The app uses an offline speech engine (Vosk, Apache 2.0 licence) and your phone's own text-to-speech engine. The app store you downloaded it from has its own terms.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, free of charge, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss (including a lost or damaged phone, missed alerts, hearing discomfort, battery use or data loss) arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited under the law of your country.

9. Updates and changes

The app and these terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date above will change when they do. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the updated terms. You can stop using the app and uninstall it at any time.
